Around the film

In Old California is probably the first film shot in Hollywood 1 , 2 . However, the first Hollywood feature film is The Husband of the Indian , made in 1914 by Cecil B. DeMille .

The outdoor scenes were shot on the Hollywood Hills by the film crew from New York in January 1910 to create a studio in Los Angeles. The film, considered lost, was found in 2004 and screened for the first time in 94 years at Beverly Hills Film Festival 3 . The best part lies in the picture work by Griffith for scenes shot in Hollywood Hills 4 .
